Why fit the covers
The side motors are the most exposed part of the assembly. The covers clip magnetically over them, shielding the housings from knocks, dust and grit without tools and without slowing down a quick strip-down.
They ship as a pair, are moulded in plastic to keep added weight negligible, and fit the Ascentiz H and K series — including the Ascentiz H Pro Hip Exoskeleton and Ascentiz H Ultra Hip Exoskeleton. For fleet use they are worth stocking as a consumable — a damaged cover is far cheaper to replace than a motor housing, and swapping the covers takes seconds between shifts.
