Kandao QooCam EGO — Authorised Kandao Distributor in South Africa
The Kandao QooCam EGO is a compact 3D (stereoscopic) camera — billed by Kandao as the world’s first portable 3D VR digital instant camera. Two fixed-focus f/1.8 lenses spaced roughly 65mm apart, close to the natural distance between human eyes, capture two slightly offset images at the same time, giving photos and video genuine depth instead of the flat frame you get from an ordinary camera.
Its signature feature is the detachable magnetic 3D viewer that clips onto the body: shoot a moment, then look through the viewer to see it in three dimensions immediately — no VR goggles, app or headset required. It records 3D video at up to 3840×1080 (1080p per eye) at 60fps and 24-megapixel side-by-side 3D stills, controlled from a 2.54-inch touchscreen, with dual-channel stereo microphones and footage saved to microSD.
It is aimed at creators, hobbyists and families who want to capture travel, events and everyday memories with real depth, as well as anyone producing stereoscopic 3D or VR content for compatible headsets. To be clear, this is a personal 3D instant camera — not a 360-degree camera and not a video-conferencing webcam.
