What the ZKong Cloud Service does
The ZKong Cloud Service is the management layer behind every ZKong electronic shelf label, e-ink shelf stretch display and meeting-room display sold by Dynamiccom. It is a hosted SaaS platform — there is no software to install and no local server to buy or maintain. You log in through a browser on a PC, tablet or smartphone, bind products to labels, design your label templates and schedule price and promotion changes. The platform pushes those changes over the internet to the ZKong ZAP-C base station in your store, which relays them wirelessly to every label and display on the shelf.
This is a required service. ZKong hardware will not operate without an active ZKong Cloud Service subscription and at least one ZAP-C base station. One subscription covers the entire deployment — electronic price labels, shelf stretch displays and the meeting-room e-ink display all run under the same account and the same dashboard.
How it fits together
Your ERP, POS or product database connects to the cloud over an open API, so a price change made once in your own system reaches the shelf without anyone re-typing it. The cloud talks to the ZAP-C base station over your store’s internet connection; the base station talks to the labels over its own low-power wireless link. Staff can also work directly from a phone or handheld on the store Wi-Fi to bind a label to a product or check a label’s status in the aisle.
Platform advantages
- SaaS, no local installation — unlimited user accounts on the same server, and capacity that grows by adding server resources rather than buying hardware.
- Built-in template editor — cloud-based templates edited in the browser with real-time preview, a large template library, unlimited fonts and multi-language text, and flexible triggers for when a layout changes.
- Unlimited expansion — one system manages e-paper labels, LCD stretch displays and AI cameras together; a single platform supports millions of labels.
- Flexible deployment — public SaaS, private cloud or local deployment, with support for globally distributed and clustered installations for multi-site retailers.
- Open interfaces — 200+ API endpoints for ERP, POS and custom integrations.
- Broad compatibility — works from Windows, macOS, Android and iOS, over a normal wide-area internet connection.
- Data security — cloud storage records, AES 128-bit encryption and automatic detection with early-warning alerts.
- Secondary development — private server builds and app or mini-app development are available for specialised requirements.
What you manage from the dashboard
- Shop management — data interfacing, staff accounts and permissions, marketing management, product-to-label binding.
- Facilities management — data upgrades, task management, equipment scheduling, people-goods interaction and data security.
- Tools — the template editor, monitoring and warnings, and journal management.
- Application solutions — smart picking, passenger-flow monitoring, display and inventory monitoring, and consumer-behaviour analysis.
Subscription terms
- Term: 6 months, renewable. Renewals are invoiced every six months while the system is in service.
- Scope: one subscription per deployment — not per label. Labels, stretch displays and meeting units on the same site share it.
- Required with: the ZAP-C base station and any ZKong label or display.
- How it is ordered: the ZKong Cloud Service is added to your cart automatically when you order any ZKong hardware, so you cannot end up with labels that have nothing to drive them.
